Biomass

The utilisation of biomass as a fuel for electricity generation is very dependant upon resource availability, the quantity and quality of waste materials and the management of a landfill site.

Each site needs to be assessed on its own merits and core samples need be taken and analysed. PGA can asses the quality of waste and the viability of a project and determine if the waste material needs to be pre-screened, washed shredded and dried.

We work closely with both the private sector and with governments in choosing the right site for the project. If the proper requirements are met, then biomass can be very cost effective.
